Sparkle...

I joined a camera club DPI-SIG here in Naples.  It is a very diverse group.  Everyone is so knowledgeable about photography and eager to share with "newbies" like me.  One of the perks of membership is being able to participate once a month in a photo shoot at Still Motion Studio.  This space is jaw dropping fantastic.  I have never seen studio space like it before.

I set up my camera in manual mode and happily clicked away for hours.

All Packed Up and...

We were all packed and ready to go on our road trip.  Quick as a wink, things changed.  My husband had some health issues and we cancelled our trip.

Worse things have happened.  The good news is he's feeling better.  I know one day soon we will repack and be on the road!

Truly Retro...

It's been quite awhile since I posted any photos of  Truly Nolan's automobiles.  I love these vintage cars.  There are quite a number (20+) parked in various places in Naples and Collier County.

The color was taken out of the photo.  Black and White seemed more appropriate for this vintage auto.

1941 DeSoto.  It is da bomb!

Long exposure....

I love garlic.  It adds so much flavor to a dish.  It smells great when cooking but not so much on someone's breath!  A fresh bulb of garlic is very pretty too.

Original photo taken using 13" shutter speed, F11, ISO 100, completely dark room, pin light - I've had so much fun taking photos this way.

Giving Thanks...

Someone went out of her way to help me the other day.  I wanted to show my appreciation by making her a gift.

A number of years ago, I made a series of small quilts which were framed and hung in my living room. These pieces have since been replaced by other framed art, but I kept the quilts just in case...now I'm very glad I did.

Cut up quilt to 3x3, add beads and charm, adhere to canvas frame.

Place on an easel and voila - it turned out just right!
